Dolly Parton

Dolly is the rare sort of person that everyone seems to be a fan. She transcended country music and is an absolute icon.

I started trying to learn guitar an somehow found this clip of her on Johnny Carson and cannot get over her nails during this performance.

Kinda weird to mention this but having been to Dollywood and seen the replica of her childhood home and that is not a lot of space for fourteen people, she was the fourth of twelve children.

I think “Jolene” is still my favorite but “I Will Always Love You” is just so good. Apparently both of these were written back to back.

There are so many people writing great things about here I may just come back and link a few here so I can reread them in the future.
