About

I’m Christopher (he/him) and I currently live in Metro Detroit with my wife, son, three cats: Kamala, Phantom, and Queenie, and our dog Tater.

Professional #

As a Product Owner at JELD-WEN, I bridged the gap between complex retail catalogs and the end-user experience, managing relationships with major retailers like The Home Depot and Lowe’s. For a more detailed look at my experience please check my resume/cv.

Hobbies #

Whether I’m nurturing a garden, experimenting in the kitchen, configuring a server, or tuning an audio system, I am constantly engaged in the process of making things work just right.

The /now page should have a recent update about what I have been up to with my hobbies and life in general.

Values #

I strive to make decisions rooted in honesty, empathy, and integrity. In a world that often prioritizes speed or convenience, I try to take the extra moment to consider the human impact of my actions, ensuring that my work and my personal life align with a commitment to doing what is right, not just what is easy.

Inspiration #

Art has always been an interest of mine. Although I pivoted to software development and now product management, that early drive to create—evidenced by my high school AP portfolio (which I still view with a mix of pride and cringe)shaped how I approach problem-solving and design today.

My favorite movie genre is horror, specifically the atmospheric kind that lingers rather than the jump-scare variety. I appreciate films that build tension and explore the human condition, whether they are prestige thrillers or delightfully shlocky B-movies.

My background in math and my time in the garden have taught me to look for the underlying logic in chaos. Seeing fractals in nature reminds me that complex systems often rely on a few elegant, recursive rules rather than rigid, pre-defined components.

I’m fascinated by the shift towards decentralized web technologies. The idea of owning your own data and infrastructure resonates with my values of integrity and privacy, driving my interest in self-hosting.
