This is Kamala and she is so tiny, she’s about the size of one of my shoes. Last time she was weighed she was 5.5 pounds. She is more floof than feline.
She’s old enough now that you can tell she’s getting older. The grey hair has started to come in and she’s slowed down. Part of the slow down is due to thyroid medication to treat a condition that had a side effect of making her hyperactive.
This tiny one is 16 years old and has been a tripod for coming up on a year. She got a broken femer and had to have her back left leg amputated. Afterwards she spent weeks in a crate in the living room before the stitches came out and she could move about freely.
The speed at which she was able to switch to only three legs was impressive. She’s a bit more careful than she was previously but I’m not sure if it’s the one fewer leg or the thyroid medication that has reduced the zoomies. It’s probably a combination of both.
She’s still the most dog like cat I’ve ever met. She follows me around the house and greets me at the door when I come home. She often sleeps at my feet or right where she is in this photo.
She’s super friendly and will greet just about anyone who comes over. When I had to get a new furnace I was sitting at the kitchen table with the sales guy and she jumped onto the table and rolled around.
She does seem to like shoes for whatever reason. Sometimes she’s next to them, sometimes she’s on them, and sometimes she’s rubbing her face on them. I don’t understand.
Now that she’s taking medication she gets tuna for breakfast and dinner. For each of these meal she’ll meow loudly at about that time. She has an impresssive internal clock.
