Goodbye Github

 read in about 1 minute

Following the recent Github related news I’ve transitioned this site and other repositories from Github to Gitlab. Once this was all confirmed I went ahead and deleted my repos and then my account entirely. I’ve updated the colophon to reflect this.

I’ve wanted to make this change since the Microsoft acquisition and have just been too lazy to do so. I don’t want to continue to contribute to their AI efforts so I’ll go somewhere else.

I’m open to a better solution but I’m happy with the change for now. I’d like to move off netlify at some point too but the convenience of pushing an update to the repo on Gitlab and it automatically being published through netlify is super convenient.

This is day 44 of #100DaysToOffload.
