Updated the image that is associated with each blog post when it is shared. Previous images looked a bit low resolution and I don’t think they took good advantage of the size of the image.
This was done largely through trial and error within the ruby script that generates these images. I also wanted to update them to match the more recent changes to the style of the site. Now the sharing image looks much more like the site so there isn’t any disconnect between the two.
I was able to specify the same fonts that are used on the website so the images are just that much more like the site itself. I feel like the size and shape may be off still relative to the images used on other sites. I might dig into that more and see if there are better dimensions to use.
Below is a version saved off in case I change this image again.
Originally published this prematurely with the title and blurb section overflowing depending on the characters. This looks to be resolved at the moment but still may need to be revised going forward.

Re-posting about the og-image rework from yesterday. Only some minor tweaks this morning.
#100DaysToOffload
Looks like share images are cached so when I posted about this yesterday with the wrong image deleting that post and resubmitting today did not solve the issue. I'm leaving it and will rework the naming of these files going forward.
